Twisha Sharma Death Case: Family Dispute Deepens As Both Sides Trade Serious Allegations

The investigation into the death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma has taken a dramatic turn, with both her in-laws and parents making conflicting claims in public.
Twisha, a resident of Noida who married Samarth Singh in December last year, died under suspicious circumstances in Bhopal on May 12. Her family has accused her husband and in-laws of mental harassment and dowry-related torture, while the husband’s family has denied all allegations.
Speaking to the media, Twisha’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh claimed that Twisha’s behaviour changed after learning about her pregnancy. According to her, Twisha allegedly wanted to terminate the pregnancy and often acted impulsively. She further stated that her son was emotionally disturbed after the pregnancy was medically terminated and insisted that the case against the family lacked merit.
Giribala Singh also said the family intends to fight the allegations legally and claimed they too deserve public sympathy.
However, Twisha’s father Navnidhi Sharma strongly rejected these statements, accusing the retired judge of attempting to defame his deceased daughter publicly while out on anticipatory bail. He alleged that evidence in the case could be tampered with and demanded an independent investigation outside Madhya Pradesh under the supervision of the Supreme Court or the Chief Justice of India.
The grieving father also called for a second post-mortem examination to be conducted immediately, claiming delays could impact crucial evidence in the case.
Police have already registered a case against Twisha’s husband and mother-in-law, while a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the incident further.
As the investigation continues, the case has sparked widespread public attention, with many awaiting clarity on the circumstances surrounding Twisha Sharma’s tragic death.
