Ranveer Singh-Farhan Akhtar ‘Don 3’ Fallout Deepens as FWICE Steps In

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has landed in controversy after reports claimed he abruptly walked out of Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Don 3, leading the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to issue a non-cooperation directive against him.
The dispute reportedly began after Farhan Akhtar approached FWICE, alleging heavy financial losses — said to be around ₹45 crore — due to Ranveer’s sudden exit from the project following the success of Dhurandhar.
FWICE President Ashoke Pandit revealed that the organisation sent multiple notices to Ranveer Singh asking him to attend discussions and resolve the matter. However, according to FWICE, the actor did not respond initially and later stated via email that the issue did not fall under the federation’s jurisdiction.
Speaking at a press conference, Ashoke Pandit said FWICE made repeated attempts to settle the issue peacefully but received no cooperation from the actor’s side. He added that the federation would now discuss the matter further with producer bodies and other industry associations before taking the next step.
The controversy has sparked fresh debate in the film industry over contractual commitments, actor accountability, and whether film bodies like FWICE have the authority to “ban” actors over professional disputes.
