Krishi Thapanda Breaks Silence After Businessman’s Death at Her Bengaluru Home, Urges Public to Stop Speculation
Bengaluru: Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda has issued her first public statement following the death of businessman Vaishak at her residence in Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar, urging people to stop speculating and allow his family and loved ones to grieve in peace.
Sharing an emotional note on Instagram, Krishi said she never imagined she would have to address such a heartbreaking situation publicly.
“I never imagined I would have to write something like this. I have neither the energy nor the mental strength to write this or even put this out into the world,” she wrote.
The actor explained that she had initially chosen to remain silent, hoping to deal with the tragedy privately. However, the growing rumours, constant questions and online speculation directed at her, her friends and both families compelled her to speak out.
Reflecting on her loss, Krishi described Vaishak as someone who had been an important part of her life.
“With everything that has happened, I have also lost someone who was very close to my heart, someone who stood by me, protected me and cared for me with nothing but kindness. Losing him has left a void that words cannot describe,” she wrote.
She also revealed that she had been dealing with emotional pain for a long time and said the latest tragedy had only deepened her grief.
“I have been carrying pain for a long time, and now I find myself grieving yet another unimaginable loss. It feels like I have lost pieces of myself along the way,” she said.
Krishi added that the constant rumours and assumptions surrounding the incident had made an already painful time even more difficult.
“What has made this even harder is that I haven’t even had the time or space to grieve. Instead, while his family, friends and loved ones are trying to cope with an unimaginable loss, there have been constant speculations, assumptions and attempts to turn someone’s death into a story,” she wrote.
The actor also thanked her friends and well-wishers for standing by her through the difficult period.
Ending her statement with an emotional appeal, Krishi urged people to show compassion and respect the privacy of those mourning Vaishak’s death.
“There is a family that has lost a son. There are friends who have lost someone they loved beyond words. If you cannot make someone smile, at least don’t become the reason for their tears,” she wrote.
With folded hands, she appealed to everyone to let Vaishak rest in peace and allow his family and loved ones the space to grieve. She also disabled comments on her Instagram post and concluded her message with the words, “I’m begging you to stop.”
According to investigators, Vaishak had reportedly been undergoing treatment for depression and was facing personal and family issues. Police said he had been living separately from his wife for nearly a month following frequent disputes.
Officials have confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene. The investigation is continuing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
