FIR Filed Against Celina Jaitly’s Husband Peter Haag After Actress Levels Serious Abuse Allegations
Actor Celina Jaitly has accused her husband, Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag, of emotional, physical, sexual, verbal and financial abuse, leading to the registration of an FIR by the Mumbai Police.
According to reports, the case was registered at the Versova Police Station under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The complaint reportedly includes allegations related to cruelty, harassment, physical harm and criminal intimidation.
The matter is also linked to ongoing proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Reports suggest that a Look Out Circular (LOC) has additionally been issued against Peter Haag over alleged non-cooperation with investigators.
In her petition before the Andheri Judicial Magistrate First Class court, Celina sought interim relief and compensation amounting to ₹50 crore, along with damages connected to alleged financial losses and property-related issues.
The actress claimed that she was stopped from working during the marriage, which she said affected her financial independence and personal dignity. She also alleged that Haag pressured her to transfer ownership of her Mumbai property to his name during an emotionally vulnerable period following the deaths of her newborn child and both her parents.
Celina further alleged that the situation eventually forced her to leave Austria and return to India without her children. She has also sought protection under domestic violence laws and claimed financial compensation for alleged career setbacks, property loss and maintenance expenses.
The couple married in Mumbai in 2010 and later registered their marriage under Austrian law. They have three children together.
Recently, Celina shared an emotional message on social media while visiting the grave of her late son, Shamsher. In the post, she spoke about the emotional toll of the ongoing legal battle and claimed she has been denied communication with her children despite joint custody arrangements and court orders.
She also described the personal sacrifices she says she made throughout the marriage, including relocating across several countries to support her husband’s career while raising their children.
Peter Haag has not publicly responded to the allegations so far. The investigation is currently underway.
