Adani Foundation Collects Record 52,306 Units of Blood in Nationwide Drive on Gautam Adani’s 64th Birthday

Marking the 64th birthday of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, the Adani Foundation organised a massive nationwide blood donation campaign that collected a record 52,306 units of blood, more than doubling last year’s total of 28,090 units.
The initiative was conducted across over 754 cities, towns and villages spanning 21 states, five Union Territories and four international locations, making it one of the largest blood donation drives undertaken by the organisation.
Held on Wednesday in partnership with more than 764 blood banks, including Red Cross centres, government hospitals and charitable blood banks, the campaign saw widespread participation from donors, healthcare workers and volunteers.
More than 6,000 volunteers from across the Adani Group, including doctors, paramedics, administrative staff and data operators, played a key role in coordinating and managing the large-scale effort.
Led by the Adani Healthcare team, the initiative was inspired by Gautam Adani’s guiding principle of “Seva hi Sadhana Hai” (Service is Worship), which emphasizes serving society through meaningful action.
According to the Foundation, the campaign collected approximately 23,538 litres of blood. The donated blood is expected to help over 1.56 lakh patients by supporting the supply of essential blood components such as whole blood, plasma, platelets, fresh frozen plasma, cryoprecipitate and albumin.
These components are critical for a wide range of medical treatments, including emergency care, major surgeries, cancer treatment, maternal healthcare and the management of chronic illnesses.
Adani Foundation Chairperson Dr. Priti Adani praised the collective effort behind the campaign and said the initiative reflected Gautam Adani’s longstanding commitment to social service.
In a message shared on social media, she thanked donors, healthcare professionals, volunteers and members of the Adani family for contributing to a cause that will provide hope and life-saving support to thousands of patients.
The annual blood donation initiative began in 2011 with just over 1,300 units collected. Over the years, it has grown into one of India’s largest voluntary blood donation campaigns, bringing together employees, partners and local communities in a shared mission to save lives.
The Adani Foundation said the campaign underscores its commitment to inclusive growth and community welfare, demonstrating how collective participation can create a lasting impact on society.
