Khattar Orders Review of Allegations Against Former OSD Nirav Daftar in Haryana Land Deal Row

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said he will personally review the allegations made against his former principal Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Nirav Daftar, over a controversial land deal. He also reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.

Speaking at a press conference, Khattar said he had already taken note of the issue and asked the concerned department to provide complete records and details.

“I am seized of this matter. Though I was out of station for the last two days, I have sought the details and summoned the record from the concerned department,” he said.

Khattar stressed that his government has never tolerated corruption and will continue taking strict action against anyone found guilty, regardless of rank or position.

“One thing is crystal clear, neither have we tolerated corruption in the past nor will my government tolerate it in future,” he added.

The controversy began after Aam Aadmi Party leaders accused Nirav Daftar of using his influence to help his family gain financially through a land transaction that took place in 2022.

According to party leader Anurag Dhanda, a company named A.N.A Real Logistics had purchased land for ₹2.73 crore, but later the company and the land were allegedly transferred to Daftar’s family members for only ₹75 lakh.

The opposition also alleged that the company received change of land use (CLU) approval from the Town and Country Planning Department within just 12 working days, raising questions over the speed of the clearance process.

AAP has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the matter.

Khattar said he would comment further once all records are examined and facts are verified. He also warned that any attempt to disrupt his public programmes over the issue would be dealt with according to law.

The matter has now become a major political issue in Haryana, with opposition parties demanding accountability while the government says due process will be followed.
