Bihar Horror: Woman Brutally Assaulted in Begusarai, Disturbing Details Shock Nation
Bihar , June 18 : A deeply disturbing incident from Begusarai has once again raised serious concerns over women’s safety in the country. A woman was allegedly gang-raped by five men who barged into her home late at night, leaving her with severe injuries and trauma.
According to the survivor, the horrifying incident took place on June 11 near the Chakiya Police Station area. She said the accused entered her house around 11:30 PM while she had stepped out to use the toilet. The attackers allegedly locked her husband inside a room before overpowering and gagging her.
The woman revealed that she was then dragged to an isolated area outside her home, where she was sexually assaulted by the group. When she tried to resist and call for help, the accused reportedly attacked her with a blade, inflicting cuts on her chest and thigh.
After the assault, her family rushed her to a local hospital in Barauni, from where she was referred to the district hospital in Begusarai. Initially, doctors treated her injuries and discharged her, but her pain continued to worsen.
What followed shocked both doctors and investigators. During a second medical examination, doctors reportedly removed a live bullet, a stone, and a piece of wood from her private parts — exposing the extreme brutality she had endured. The survivor said she had no idea these objects had been inserted because she had lost consciousness during the assault.
The woman also shared that this was not the first time she had been targeted. Around three months earlier, she claimed that three men had broken into her home, assaulted her, and attempted sexual violence before fleeing with money and jewellery. Despite informing the police at the time, she alleged no action was taken.
Senior police officer Anand Kumar Pandey confirmed that a scientific investigation is underway. He stated that the survivor’s account appears credible and assured that the accused would be arrested soon. He also said that action would be taken against police personnel if negligence is found in handling her earlier complaint.
The brutal case has sparked outrage across Bihar and beyond, with many demanding swift justice and stricter accountability from law enforcement. The incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for stronger measures to protect women and ensure faster action in crimes of sexual violence.
