Tata Consultancy Services Suspends Nashik Staff After Harassment Allegations, Says ‘Zero Tolerance’

IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has suspended several employees from its office in Nashik after serious allegations of sexual harassment surfaced. The company said the staff members will remain suspended until the investigation is completed.
The action comes after police arrested seven employees, including a human resources manager, following complaints from multiple women working at the office. TCS has stated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment and is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities in the ongoing probe.
The case first came to light when a woman employee accused a colleague of entering into a relationship with her after allegedly promising marriage. As investigators began examining the complaint, seven more women reportedly came forward, claiming they too had faced harassment at the workplace.
According to police, the accused include individuals identified as Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, Shah Rukh Qureshi, Raza Memon, Tausif Attar, and Danish Sheikh.
Investigators say the alleged incidents took place over several years, between February 2022 and March 2026.
The complainant also told authorities that she had previously approached a senior official with her concerns, but alleged that the matter was not properly addressed.
In a dramatic development during the investigation, police conducted an undercover operation in which women officers reportedly entered the office disguised as employees. One of the accused was allegedly caught misbehaving during the operation.
Authorities are now examining more than 40 CCTV clips from the premises as they work to build a case.
The allegations made by the women include inappropriate touching, objectionable comments, body-shaming, stalking, and attempts to pressure them into actions against their will.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and further action will depend on the evidence collected.
