IIM Women Alumni Urge Government to Hear NEET Protesters, Oppose Use of Force
New Delhi, July 23: A group of women alumni from various Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage with students protesting over the NEET paper leak issue, urging the government to respond through dialogue rather than force.
In an open letter, the alumni expressed concern over the ongoing demonstrations in Delhi, where students have been demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities. They stressed that peaceful protest is a democratic right and said students should not be treated as a law-and-order problem.
The letter stated that the protests reflect growing anxiety among young people about the credibility of India’s examination system. According to the alumni, students are raising their voices out of concern for their future and deserve to be heard with respect and empathy.
