Himanta Biswa Sarma Takes Oath as Assam Chief Minister, NDA Forms Government Again

Himanta Biswa Sarma was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Assam at a grand ceremony held at the Veterinary Ground in Khanapara, Guwahati.

Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to Mr. Sarma during the event.

Along with him, four MLAs also took oath as Ministers — Rameswar Teli, Ajanta Neog, Atul Bora and Charan Boro.

Several top leaders attended the ceremony, including Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Sarbananda Sonowal and other senior BJP and NDA leaders.

The swearing-in ceremony marks the formation of the third consecutive NDA government in Assam, highlighting the alliance’s continued political dominance in the state.
