ED’s Hindi Journal ‘Pravartan Sandesh’ Wins Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar 2025-26

The Directorate of Enforcement’s (ED) Hindi in-house journal, Pravartan Sandesh, has received national recognition for its contribution to the implementation and promotion of Official Language Hindi. The journal was awarded the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar 2025-26, securing second prize in Region ‘A’ under the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The award was presented on September 14, 2026, by Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Nityanand Rai during the Hindi Diwas 2026 celebrations and the Sixth All India Official Language Conference held in Mumbai. The event was organised under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah.

Published by the ED, Pravartan Sandesh aims to explain complex legal, financial and investigative subjects in simple, accessible Hindi. The journal also covers activities related to the implementation of the Official Language and encourages the wider use of Hindi in the Directorate’s official work.

During 2025-26, Issue 9 of the journal focused on the theme ‘ED’s Campaign against Terror Financing’. It highlighted the agency’s actions against terror financing and examined various aspects of financial crime, national security and economic security. The issue also explored the financial networks associated with terror financing and the ED’s interventions in this area.

Issue 10 continued the thematic approach with the title ‘From Public Interest to National Interest: ED’s Victim-Centric Actions and Relief’. It covered subjects including law enforcement, transparency, access to justice, restitution, economic security, Viksit Bharat and international cooperation.

A key focus of the issue was the ED’s victim-centric approach, particularly its efforts to trace and attach proceeds of crime and facilitate the restoration of properties to victims. The publication sought to explain these enforcement measures in clear Hindi while highlighting their wider significance for financial integrity and public interest.

Through Pravartan Sandesh, the Directorate has continued to make its investigative and enforcement work more accessible to Hindi readers while promoting the effective use of Hindi as an integral part of its institutional culture.

The latest honour follows another recognition received by the ED in 2024, when the Directorate secured third prize in the All India Hindi Short Film Making Competition on Artificial Intelligence, organised by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar marks another milestone in the Directorate’s efforts to promote Official Language Hindi and communicate complex enforcement-related subjects in a clear and accessible manner
