ED Searches TDI Group Chairperson Ravinder Taneja’s Premises in Gurgaon-Manesar Land Scam Probe

Chandigarh:The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Chandigarh, has carried out searches at premises linked to TDI Group Chairperson Ravinder Taneja as part of an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

The searches are connected to the 2015 Gurgaon-Manesar land scam, in which the agency is examining alleged financial transactions involving Taneja’s TDI Group and Atul Bansal’s ABWIL Group.

During the search operation, ED officials reportedly recovered and seized a number of documents and electronic devices that are considered relevant to the investigation. The agency also seized luxury vehicles found at the premises as part of the ongoing probe.

The investigation is focused on tracing the flow of funds and examining transactions allegedly linked to the land deal. The ED is looking into financial records and other material to determine whether any proceeds connected with the alleged irregularities were routed or dealt with in a manner that could attract provisions of the PMLA.

Officials are expected to examine the seized documents and digital devices in greater detail to establish the nature of the transactions and the roles of the individuals and entities under investigation.

The 2015 Gurgaon-Manesar land matter has been under scrutiny over alleged irregularities surrounding land transactions and subsequent financial dealings. The latest searches indicate that the ED’s money-laundering investigation is examining the financial trail associated with the case.

The searches form part of the agency’s continuing investigation, and further action could follow after the examination of the material seized during the operation. At this stage, the allegations remain part of an ongoing investigation, and the seizure of documents, electronic devices or vehicles does not by itself establish criminal liability.
