ED Conducts Searches At TDI Group Premises In Gurgaon Land Scam Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Chandigarh Zone-I, has conducted search operations at business and residential premises linked to Ravinder Taneja, Chairperson of the TDI Group and Managing Director of several TDI group companies, including M/s TDI Infratech Ltd and M/s TDI Infrastructure Ltd.
The searches were carried out on September 28, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the Gurgaon (Manesar) land scam under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The case originated from an FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The TDI Group is being investigated over alleged transactions with Atul Bansal and his ABWIL-led group of companies during the period under investigation.
According to the ED, more than 400 acres of land in Manesar, Naurangpur and Lakhnoula villages had been notified for acquisition by the state in 2007. The agency alleges that private builders and intermediaries purchased portions of this land from farmers at low prices, taking advantage of the fear of government acquisition.
The investigation further found that the acquisition process was subsequently allowed to lapse and the award was dropped. The land was then allegedly sold by intermediaries at significantly higher prices, resulting in substantial profits.
The ED has identified the TDI Group, led by Ravinder Taneja, as one of the intermediaries allegedly involved in these transactions.
Between 2005 and 2007, during the land acquisition process in the three villages, the TDI Group allegedly used three companies — M/s Indo Asian Construction Co. Pvt. Ltd., M/s NCR Properties Pvt. Ltd. and M/s Divya Jyoti Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. — to purchase nearly 33 acres of land from farmers.
The land was subsequently sold to the Atul Bansal group at higher prices, according to the agency.
The searches continued for more than three days at premises in New Delhi and S.A.S. Nagar. During the operation, investigators also came across records relating to alleged irregularities in other projects, which are now being examined further.
The ED said several project records and files, along with digital devices, computers, hard disks and servers, were seized during the searches. Luxury vehicles identified as alleged proceeds of crime were also seized.
The examination of the seized documents, assets and financial affairs of the TDI Group companies is currently underway, and further action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
