Delhi Schools Shift to Hybrid Classes, Change Bus Routes as CJP Protest Disrupts City

New Delhi, July 24: Several schools in central Delhi have temporarily switched to hybrid learning and revised their transport arrangements as traffic restrictions and Metro disruptions caused by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest continue to affect daily life.
R S Junior Modern School informed parents that students from Nursery to Class 5 can attend classes either online or on campus until further notice. Students joining virtually have been asked to follow the regular timetable through Microsoft Teams while wearing their school uniform.
Meanwhile, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya announced that after conducting online classes earlier this week, regular offline classes have resumed.
Although school buses are operating on their usual schedules, parents living in areas affected by road closures have been advised to coordinate with transport staff, as some buses may be diverted for safety reasons or pick-up locations may change.
The disruptions come amid heightened security in central Delhi, where road closures and temporary Metro station shutdowns have led to heavy traffic congestion and longer travel times for commuters.
Amid the ongoing situation, the Diocese of Delhi of the Church of North India expressed support for students and families impacted by the recent examination controversy. It called for a fair, transparent, and independent investigation into the alleged exam irregularities, urging authorities to hold those responsible accountable.
The Diocese also stressed the need for long-term reforms to protect the credibility of public examinations, stating that every student deserves an education system built on honesty, fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity.
With protests continuing in the capital, schools are taking precautionary measures to ensure students’ education continues while prioritising their safety and convenience.
