19-Year-Old Student Stabbed to Death Outside College in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: A 19-year-old college student was allegedly stabbed to death outside his college in Bengaluru on Wednesday following a confrontation between two groups of students, police said.
The victim, identified as Yogesh, was a first-year B.Com student at a private college in Nagarabhavi.
According to police, Yogesh was attending a class when one of his friends called him outside the college. Shortly after he stepped out, an argument broke out between two groups of students over an issue that has not yet been established.
The confrontation reportedly escalated, during which one of the students allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Yogesh, a senior police officer said.
Yogesh suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite receiving treatment, he died from his injuries, police said.
Investigators suspect that around four to five people may have been involved in the incident. So far, police have identified only one person in connection with the case.
Police said the exact motive and circumstances behind the stabbing will become clearer once the suspects are apprehended.
