Man Blinded by Itching Powder, Loses ₹ 8.5 Lakh in Delhi Robbery
New Delhi: A shocking daylight robbery unfolded in outer-north Delhi’s Narela area on Saturday when a man used itching powder to blind and rob Vinay Tiwari, a gas agency manager, of ₹ 8.5 lakh.
Vinay Tiwari was on his way to deposit the cash at an HDFC Bank near Ramdev Chowk when the incident occurred. He had collected ₹ 8,45,000 from two gas godowns he manages and was riding his motorcycle when he suddenly experienced intense irritation in his eyes.
As he instinctively tried to rub his eyes to clear the discomfort, he realized his bag containing the cash had been snatched from his motorcycle’s handle.
The police have registered a case and initiated a probe into the incident. Investigators are exploring all angles to track down the culprit and recover the stolen amount.
