Delhi Students Get a Big Boost: Free JEE & NEET Coaching Announced for Class 12 Aspirants
New Delhi: In a major step to support talented students from financially weaker backgrounds, the Delhi government has announced a free residential coaching programme for Class 12 Science students preparing for JEE and NEET entrance exams.
The initiative will provide deserving students from government and government-aided schools with access to quality coaching through a scholarship programme run by the Dakshana Foundation, a Pune-based non-profit organisation.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has informed schools about the opportunity and asked them to encourage eligible students to apply. The programme is aimed at helping students who have academic potential but may not be able to afford expensive private coaching.
Selection for the scholarship will be conducted through the Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JSDT) 2027, which is scheduled for December 2026. Students who qualify will receive one year of fully residential coaching at Dakshana Valley, the foundation’s campus in Maharashtra.
A key benefit of the programme is that students will not have to pay for their preparation. The scholarship will cover coaching fees, hostel stay, and meals, allowing students to focus completely on their studies.
The initiative is expected to open new opportunities for students aiming to secure admission to prestigious engineering and medical institutions through JEE and NEET.
