Bomb Threat at Trisha Krishnan’s Chennai Home Declared Hoax After Police Search

A tense situation unfolded on Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was reported at the residence of actress Trisha Krishnan in Chennai. Authorities later confirmed that the alert was a hoax, but the incident triggered a major security response.
According to reports, the threat was sent via an email to the city control room, claiming that explosives had been planted at the actor’s house in the Teynampet area.
Acting quickly, police teams from the local station arrived at the spot along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and sniffer dogs. The officials conducted a thorough search of the entire premises to ensure there was no danger.
After several hours of inspection, police confirmed that no explosives were found, and the alert was declared a false alarm.
Investigators later discovered that the same email ID may have been used previously to send similar bomb threats to the homes of actors Rajinikanth and Dhanush in the upscale Poes Garden locality of Chennai. This has raised suspicion that the incidents could be connected.
A case has now been registered, and the Cyber Crime Wing has begun tracing the sender of the email. Officials say tracking such threats can be challenging because they are often sent through VPNs or other tools that hide the sender’s identity.
Reports also suggest that this is not the first time Trisha has received such a threat, as a similar hoax incident was reported last year as well.
Authorities say they are treating the matter seriously, especially as false bomb threats targeting celebrities and public places have increased in recent times. Police have assured that strict action will be taken once the person responsible is identified.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Trisha Krishnan remains busy with multiple film projects. She will soon be seen in Vishwambhara alongside Chiranjeevi and in the action-thriller Karuppu with Suriya, directed by R. J. Balaji.
A prominent figure in both Tamil and Telugu cinema, Trisha has built a successful career over the years, winning several honours including multiple Filmfare Awards South, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award and a Nandi Award.
