Assam , June 13 : A tragic Indian Air Force (IAF) accident in Assam has claimed the lives of five personnel after a transport aircraft crashed during a routine training sortie near Jorhat.
According to officials, the AN-32 aircraft was on a normal landing approach when it suddenly veered off the runway, overturned, and caught fire on the airfield. Despite quick emergency response and rescue efforts, all five onboard personnel lost their lives. One crew member (co-pilot) reportedly survived with injuries.
