Woman Found Dead at Homestay Near Bengaluru, Boyfriend Hospitalised as Police Probe Suspicious Death

Bengaluru, A young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a homestay in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district, while her boyfriend was discovered unconscious at the same location, prompting a detailed police investigation.
The incident took place near Muddenahalli on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Police recovered the woman’s body from inside the homestay, while the man, identified as Sanjeet Ali, was rushed to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
During the initial investigation, officers recovered a rope and some tablets from the room. The findings have led police to suspect that poison may have been consumed, although the exact cause of the woman’s death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.
Investigators are exploring multiple angles in the case. One possibility being examined is whether the man allegedly killed the woman before attempting to end his own life. Police are also looking into the possibility that the couple may have entered into a suicide pact.
Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police Kushal Chowksi, along with senior police officials, visited the homestay to inspect the scene and supervise the investigation.
According to preliminary information, the couple had been in a relationship for some time, but their families were reportedly opposed to it. Sources also claim that the woman had previously left home with the same man.
Police said the couple had checked into the homestay on Saturday. The circumstances leading to the woman’s death remain unclear, and investigators are awaiting forensic and post-mortem reports before drawing any conclusions.
Further investigation is underway.
