Rajasthan Man Caught Brutally Assaulting Mother, Ignores Pleas of Children

A disturbing incident from Kota has triggered outrage after a man was seen violently assaulting his elderly mother, ignoring the desperate cries of children present during the attack. The incident took place on July 20 at Om Green Meadows Apartment in the Anantapura police station area.
The accused, Deepu Mehra, was captured on CCTV and mobile phone footage forcefully breaking into the house and mercilessly attacking his 65-year-old mother, Santosh Bai, with kicks and slippers. The video shows Mehra shoving the gate open to gain entry, then launching into a savage assault.
According to the complaint filed by Santosh Bai, her husband was also attacked during the episode, which reportedly stemmed from a family dispute. Despite her collapsing to the ground, Mehra continued the assault, showing no regard for the presence or distress of the children in the house.
Family members recorded the horrifying scene and submitted the footage to authorities. Based on the video evidence, Anantapura police arrested Mehra. He was presented before the court and sent to judicial custody, though he was later granted bail.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Uday Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against Mehra under several sections, including those pertaining to assault and unlawful entry. The incident has sparked public anger and renewed calls for stronger action against domestic violence and elder abuse.
