Samsung’s Futuristic Tri-Fold Smartphone May Launch in 2025 — But It Won’t Come Cheap

Samsung seems to be pushing the boundaries of smartphone innovation yet again. After the much-talked-about Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Edge, the tech giant is now reportedly preparing to launch an all-new tri-fold smartphone, taking foldable design to the next level.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the tri-fold device is expected to make its debut in Q3 of 2025. This updated timeline contradicts earlier reports that suggested the launch might happen well after this year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 release.

But there’s a catch — this ultra-premium foldable phone may only be available in South Korea and China, with limited units produced. It’s unclear whether Samsung will scale production based on consumer demand, but given the expected price tag of $3,000–$3,500 (roughly ₹2.56 to ₹2.99 lakh), it’s likely to cater to a niche market of early adopters and tech enthusiasts.

Unlike the existing book-style foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold, which feature a single hinge and dual screens, this upcoming model is said to feature two hinges, giving it a three-part folding design. This would allow the phone to unfold into something much closer to a full-sized tablet.

Patent leaks in the past have hinted at this design evolution, and it seems Samsung is finally ready to bring the concept to life. Whether this tri-fold device will be a game changer or remain a high-priced novelty is something time—and tech lovers—will soon reveal.
