Mahindra’s Electric Revolution Picks Up Speed: XEV 9e and BE 6 Cross 3,000 Deliveries Milestone

Mahindra & Mahindra is making waves in the Indian EV market with its newly launched born-electric SUVs — the XEV 9e and the BE 6. Since the official delivery rollout began on March 20, 2025, the brand has already surpassed 3,000 deliveries, marking a major milestone in its EV journey.
The XEV 9e has emerged as the more popular choice among buyers, accounting for 59% of total bookings, while the BE 6 follows with a 41% share. Interestingly, a majority of customers are gravitating toward the high-end “Pack Three” variant, reflecting a growing demand for premium features in electric vehicles.
With demand soaring, Mahindra is now facing wait times as long as six months in certain regions. To tackle this, the company is ramping up production and delivery capacities nationwide, aiming to speed up the process and enhance customer satisfaction.
To ensure a smooth transition to EV ownership, Mahindra is also equipping new buyers with video tutorials that cover everything from smart charging habits and driving techniques for range optimization to using the SUVs’ connected features effectively.
Under the hood, the Mahindra XEV 9e offers a 79 kWh battery pack with an ARAI-certified range of 659 km, and a real-world range of over 500 km. A second option features a 59 kWh pack, offering 542 km of certified range.
The BE 6, on the other hand, also comes with a 79 kWh battery, providing an impressive 682 km ARAI-certified range, with the smaller 59 kWh version delivering 557 km per charge.
With strong initial numbers and a robust customer support system, Mahindra’s latest EVs are powering up the brand’s presence in the electric mobility space.
