13-Year-Old Kidnapped in Bengaluru for Ransom; Burnt Body Found

The charred body of a 13-year-old boy, reported missing on Wednesday, was discovered in a deserted area along Kaggalipura Road in Bengaluru. The victim, Nishchith A, was a Class 8 student at Christ School.
According to police, Nishchith had left his home on Arekere 80 Feet Road around 5 PM to attend a tuition class but never returned. When he failed to come home by 7:30 PM, his parents contacted the tuition teacher, who informed them that Nishchith had left on time.
While searching for him, the boy’s parents found his bicycle abandoned near Arekere Family Park. Soon after, they received a call from an unknown number demanding a ransom of ₹5 lakh. Based on this, the family lodged a missing and kidnapping complaint with the Hulimavu police station.
Police quickly began tracing the caller’s location and launched a search operation. The boy’s burnt body was discovered the following day during the search.
Nishchith’s father, JC Achit, is an assistant professor at a private college. Police have launched an investigation and are working to identify and apprehend those responsible.
