“We Will Never Surrender”: Iran Warns US of Dire Consequences Amid Escalating Conflict with Israel

As tensions soar in the Middle East, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a stern warning to the United States, vowing never to yield to demands for unconditional surrender. His remarks come in response to threats from both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump.
Defiant Message from Khamenei
Speaking from a secure location, Khamenei declared that Iran will not bow to US pressure, warning that any American military involvement in the ongoing conflict would result in “irreparable damage” to the United States. Posting on social platform X, he wrote:
“The harm the US will suffer will definitely be irreparable if they enter this conflict militarily.”
He also condemned Trump’s rhetoric, calling it absurd and asserting that the Iranian people are not intimidated by such threats.
Trump’s Ultimatum
President Trump had earlier demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” hinting that the US and Israel know the Supreme Leader’s whereabouts.
“He is an easy target… but we’re not going to take him out – at least not for now,” Trump said, implying that patience was wearing thin and military action was still on the table.
On Truth Social, Trump reiterated that Iran had been given multiple opportunities to reach a deal, but failed. He boasted of US and Israeli military superiority, warning Iran of severe consequences if its nuclear ambitions continue unchecked.
Missile Attacks Escalate
The conflict has intensified rapidly since Israel launched air strikes on Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure last Friday. Iran retaliated with a barrage of ballistic and hypersonic missiles aimed at major Israeli cities including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Israel, in turn, has threatened further strikes, stating that while civilians are not direct targets, they may be collateral victims due to the targeting of regime-related infrastructure in Tehran. Defence Minister Israel Katz warned residents of Tehran to evacuate certain areas, as Israeli strikes would continue.
Iran Deploys Hypersonic Missiles
On Wednesday, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the use of Fattah-1 hypersonic missiles as part of “Operation Honest Promise 3”. These advanced weapons can travel at five times the speed of sound, making them particularly difficult to intercept.
Khamenei again took to social media to declare the beginning of a holy battle, vowing to show no mercy to Israel.
Global Stakes Rise
The G7 nations, including Germany and France, have expressed support for Israel, as the US considers active involvement in the conflict. Washington has made it clear that Iran must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
Concerns Over Uranium Enrichment
Western intelligence agencies report that Iran has enriched uranium up to 60%, dangerously close to weapons-grade levels (90%). The US and Israel argue that such levels suggest intentions beyond peaceful nuclear energy, despite Iran’s claim that its nuclear program is for civilian use only.
US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff stated that 3.67% enrichment is sufficient for civilian purposes, and anything beyond that raises serious concerns. Backed by Trump, he reiterated that nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran are unacceptable.
Israel’s strike campaign, which began Friday, has reportedly targeted all key Iranian uranium enrichment facilities to prevent the development of a bomb.
