UK Teen Jailed for 49 Years After Brutally Killing Family, Plotting School Massacre

London, United Kingdom – A British teenager who carried out a horrific attack on his family and planned a deadly school massacre has been sentenced to 49 years in prison.
Nicholas Prosper, who was 18 at the time of the killings, used a shotgun and knives to murder his mother, Juliana Falcon (48), sister Giselle (13), and brother Kyle (16) at their home in Luton in September 2024. His brother and sister suffered over 100 stab wounds in addition to being shot.
Chilling Motive: Seeking Infamy as a Mass Shooter
During sentencing, Judge Bobbie Cheema-Grubb revealed that Prosper had a disturbing ambition—to gain notoriety as the “world’s most famous school shooter of the 21st century.” His gruesome plan included attacking a primary school he once attended, aiming to surpass the Sandy Hook and Virginia Tech massacres in the United States.
Prosper had meticulously planned the attack, creating diagrams of classrooms at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, where he intended to kill dozens of young children and teachers before taking his own life. However, his plan was disrupted when his mother woke up and a struggle ensued, prompting neighbors to call the police.
After killing his family, he placed a book titled “How to Kill Your Family” on his mother’s body.
Cold-Blooded and Remorseless
Upon his arrest, Prosper showed no remorse and boasted about his intention to commit mass murder. The court heard how he had isolated himself in an online world, obsessing over notorious murderers, mass shooters, and violent crimes.
Psychologists noted that he displayed symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), but the judge emphasized that this did not excuse his actions.
“You remain highly dangerous, and it may be that you will never be released,” the judge stated, adding that Prosper had even filmed himself acting out the killings before executing his plan.
Family and Community Devastated
His father, Ray Prosper, who lost his wife, daughter, and son in the attack, expressed his unbearable grief in a statement to the court.
“When I heard the horrendous news that day, part of my soul died too. This is a lose-lose situation for us all. We have lost four family members.”
Authorities in Bedfordshire were shocked and appalled by the teenager’s horrific crimes. Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy called the act “sickening”, reflecting the deep impact it had on the local community.
A Life Behind Bars
Now 19 years old, Prosper has been sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of 49 years before any possibility of release. Taking into account time served, he will spend at least 48 years and 177 days in jail.
His chilling case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of online radicalization and the devastating impact of violent fantasies turning into reality.
