Tritiyaa Jewellery Director Arrested for Fraud and Forgery in Co-Founder Dispute

Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills police have arrested 24-year-old Kanthidutt Thonangi, director of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellery, on charges of cheating, criminal breach of trust, and document forgery for personal gain.
According to the police, Kanthidutt has four cases registered against him, including a fatal hit-and-run, across Cyberabad and Hyderabad commissionerates. He also serves as a director at Dakshin Katha Hospitality and Naomi Patisserie & Bistro.
The complaint was filed by Tippala Srija, who co-founded Tritiyaa Fine Jewellers Private Limited with Kanthidutt in June 2023, both serving as directors and shareholders. In August 2023, while planning business expansion, Srija invested around ₹2.5 crore in the company. However, later that month, Kanthidutt allegedly forged her signature on a resignation letter and submitted it to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs without her consent.
On the same day, he reportedly held a board meeting—without notifying her—and “approved” her resignation, effectively removing her from the company. Suspecting foul play, Srija filed an RTI and discovered fabricated copies of her resignation and board resolution. She accused Kanthidutt of forgery and fraud, stating, “It is evident that he forged my signature, and it’s impossible for a board meeting to take place on the same day.”

In a separate case, Kanthidutt has been accused of defrauding two businessmen, Cilarapu Ramchander and Praveen Kumar, of ₹6 crore. He allegedly convinced them to invest in his ventures, but when questioned about their returns, he reportedly failed to provide satisfactory answers and used abusive language.
Following multiple complaints, the police arrested Kanthidutt and have sent him to 14 days of judicial remand.
