Tritiyaa Jewellery Co-Founder Jailed for Fraud, Forgery & Criminal Betrayal

Hyderabad: In a shocking case of corporate fraud, Jubilee Hills police have arrested 24-year-old Kanthidutt Thonangi, co-founder of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellery, for allegedly orchestrating a massive deception involving forgery, financial fraud, and breach of trust.
Fraudulent Takeover: Co-Founder Betrayed and Illegally Removed
Tippala Srija, who co-founded Tritiyaa Fine Jewellers Private Limited with Kanthidutt in June 2023, has accused him of illegally ousting her from the company. In August 2023, she invested ₹2.5 crore into the business, only to later discover that Kanthidutt had allegedly forged her signature on a resignation letter and unlawfully submitted it to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs without her knowledge.
To make matters worse, he reportedly staged a fake board meeting on the same day—without informing her—and “approved” her resignation, effectively cutting her out of her own company. Sensing foul play, Srija filed an RTI and obtained fraudulent copies of her resignation letter and board resolution. She stated, “It’s clear my signature was forged, and it is impossible for a legitimate board meeting to have taken place that quickly.”
Criminal Past: Linked to Multiple Fraud Cases & a Fatal Hit-and-Run
This is not Kanthidutt’s first brush with the law. Police records reveal he has four cases against him, including a fatal hit-and-run, in the Cyberabad and Hyderabad commissionerates. He is also associated with Dakshin Katha Hospitality and Naomi Patisserie & Bistro, businesses now under scrutiny for fraudulent activities.
Adding to his criminal record, two businessmen, Cilarapu Ramchander and Praveen Kumar, have accused him of cheating them out of ₹6 crore. They claim he persuaded them to invest in his businesses but later dodged their inquiries and even resorted to abusive behavior when confronted.
With a mounting list of fraud allegations, the police have taken swift action, arresting Kanthidutt and placing him under 14-day judicial custody.
