Tritiyaa Jewellery Co-Founder Exposed: Fraud, Forgery & Criminal Deception Uncovered
Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills police have arrested 24-year-old Kanthidutt Thonangi, co-founder of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellery, for allegedly orchestrating a shocking fraud, forgery, and breach of trust to deceive his business partner and investors.
Fraudulent Takeover: Co-Founder Illegally Removed
Tippala Srija, co-founder of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellers Private Limited, has accused Kanthidutt of fraudulently removing her from the company. After co-founding the business in June 2023, she invested ₹2.5 crore in August to expand operations. However, she later discovered that Kanthidutt had allegedly forged her signature on a resignation letter and illegally submitted it to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs without her knowledge.
To make matters worse, he reportedly conducted a fake board meeting on the same day—without informing her—and “approved” her resignation, completely cutting her out of the business. Realizing something was amiss, Srija filed an RTI and obtained fraudulent copies of her resignation letter and board resolution. She stated, “It’s obvious my signature was forged, and a board meeting could not have been held that quickly.”
A History of Crime: Multiple Cases Against Him
This is not an isolated case. Police records show Kanthidutt has a disturbing criminal history, with four cases registered against him, including a fatal hit-and-run, in the Cyberabad and Hyderabad commissionerates. He is also associated with Dakshin Katha Hospitality and Naomi Patisserie & Bistro.
In another shocking scam, businessmen Cilarapu Ramchander and Praveen Kumar have accused him of swindling ₹6 crore from them. They allege he lured them into investing in his ventures but later evaded their questions and even resorted to abusive language when confronted.
With a growing list of fraud allegations, the police have finally taken action, arresting Kanthidutt and placing him under 14-day judicial custody.
