Tritiyaa Jewellery Co-Founder Arrested for Fraud and Forgery in Business Dispute

Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills police have arrested 24-year-old Kanthidutt Thonangi, co-founder of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellery, on charges of fraud, forgery, and breach of trust after allegedly deceiving his business partner.

Business Partner Claims Fraudulent Removal

Tippala Srija, co-founder of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellers Private Limited, has accused Kanthidutt of illegally ousting her from the company. The two established the business in June 2023, and in August, Srija invested ₹2.5 crore for its expansion. However, she later discovered that Kanthidutt had allegedly forged her signature on a resignation letter and submitted it to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs without her knowledge.

On the same day, he reportedly conducted a board meeting—without informing her—and “approved” her resignation, removing her from the company. Suspicious of the sudden action, Srija filed an RTI application and obtained fabricated copies of her resignation letter and board resolution. She accused Kanthidutt of fraud, stating, “It’s evident that my signature was forged, and a board meeting could not have been held on the same day.”

Multiple Cases and Criminal Allegations

Kanthidutt is also facing several other legal troubles. According to police reports, he has four cases registered against him, including a fatal hit-and-run, under the Cyberabad and Hyderabad commissionerates. He is also associated with Dakshin Katha Hospitality and Naomi Patisserie & Bistro.

In a separate case, two businessmen, Cilarapu Ramchander and Praveen Kumar, have accused him of cheating them out of ₹6 crore. They allege that he persuaded them to invest in his ventures but later avoided their inquiries and used abusive language when confronted.

Following multiple complaints, police arrested Kanthidutt and placed him under 14-day judicial custody.
