Tritiyaa Jewellery Co-Founder Arrested for Cheating Business Partner

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have arrested 24-year-old Kanthidutt Thonangi, co-founder of Tritiyaa Fine Jewellery, on charges of fraud, forgery, and criminal breach of trust after allegedly deceiving his business partner.
Business Partner Alleges Fraudulent Removal
Tippala Srija, who co-founded Tritiyaa Fine Jewellers Private Limited with Kanthidutt in June 2023, claims she was unlawfully removed from the company. In August 2023, she invested ₹2.5 crore into the business for its expansion. However, she later discovered that Kanthidutt had allegedly forged her signature on a resignation letter and submitted it to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs without her consent.
On the same day, he reportedly held a board meeting—without informing her—and “approved” her resignation, effectively ousting her from the company. Suspicious of the sudden move, Srija filed an RTI request and obtained fabricated copies of her resignation letter and board resolution. She accused Kanthidutt of fraud, stating, “It’s obvious my signature was forged, and a board meeting couldn’t have been held on the same day.”
Facing Multiple Criminal Cases
Kanthidutt is also entangled in other legal troubles. Police records show that he has four cases registered against him, including a fatal hit-and-run, across the Cyberabad and Hyderabad commissionerates. He also holds key positions at Dakshin Katha Hospitality and Naomi Patisserie & Bistro.
Additionally, two businessmen, Cilarapu Ramchander and Praveen Kumar, have accused him of cheating them out of ₹6 crore. They allege that he lured them into investing in his ventures but later refused to return their money and used abusive language when confronted.
Following multiple complaints, the police arrested Kanthidutt and placed him in 14-day judicial custody.
