Tickets Sold Out for India-Australia Sydney ODI and Canberra T20I, Confirms Cricket Australia

With India’s white-ball tour of Australia still four months away, fan excitement has already reached fever pitch. Cricket Australia (CA) has announced that over 90,000 tickets have already been sold for the eight-match series. Notably, tickets for the third ODI in Sydney and the first T20I in Canberra have already sold out.
Team India is scheduled to travel to Australia in October-November for a series comprising three One-Day Internationals, beginning October 19 in Perth, and five T20 Internationals, concluding November 8 in Brisbane.
“The Australia vs India white-ball series has generated tremendous enthusiasm among cricket fans, especially within the Indian diaspora,” CA said in a statement. “Public ticket allocations for the SCG ODI and the Manuka Oval T20I were completely sold out four months in advance, indicating extremely high demand. Matches at the MCG and Gabba are also experiencing strong ticket sales.”
According to CA, more than 16% of the total ticket sales so far have been attributed to Indian fan clubs. Among the most active, the Bharat Army has purchased over 2,400 tickets, followed by Fans India with more than 1,400 tickets. Amit Goyal of the Aggarwal community group Brissy Baniyas emerged as the largest single-ticket buyer, securing 880 tickets for the Gabba T20I. Other community groups such as the Indian Community of Gold Coast and Pakka Local also bought over 500 tickets each for the T20Is at the Gold Coast and MCG.
Joel Morrison, Cricket Australia’s Executive General Manager of Events & Operations, noted the tremendous fan interest: “The anticipation around this series, especially after the record-breaking Border-Gavaskar Trophy, has been phenomenal.
