Tesla Cybertruck Explosion in Las Vegas: Active-Duty Army Sergeant Identified as Victim

A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, leaving one person dead and seven others injured. Authorities have now identified the deceased as Matthew Livelsberger, a 37-year-old active-duty Special Forces operations sergeant.

Livelsberger, a Colorado resident serving in Germany with the 10th Special Forces Group, was reportedly on leave in the United States at the time of the incident. He had rented the electric pickup truck in Colorado using the app Turo before driving it to Nevada.

The explosion occurred at 8:40 a.m. in the valet area of the hotel, according to a county spokesperson. Videos of the devastating scene quickly spread online. Investigators revealed that Livelsberger’s vehicle was carrying firework-like mortars, camping fuel, and canisters when it ignited.

In the aftermath, Federal Bureau of Investigation officials visited one of Livelsberger’s listed addresses in Colorado Springs. The FBI is exploring all possibilities, including terrorism, as part of their investigation into the explosion.

This incident follows another recent tragedy when a US Army veteran, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, drove a pickup truck into a crowd celebrating New Year’s in New Orleans, killing 15 people before being fatally shot by police.

The investigation into the Las Vegas explosion is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the full circumstances behind the tragic event.
