Teen Student Jumps from Metro Station, Alleges School Harassment in Suicide Note

A Class 10 student from a prominent Delhi school died by suicide after jumping from a Metro station, leaving behind a note in which he accused his teachers of driving him to the extreme step. His father has filed an FIR alleging that three teachers and the school principal mentally tortured his 16-year-old son, ultimately pushing him to take his own life.
In the suicide note, the teenager wrote:
“Sorry mummy… I have broken your heart so many times, and this will be the last. The teachers in school are like this, what more can I say?”
According to the FIR, the boy had left home for school at his usual time, 7:15 am, on Tuesday. Around 2:45 pm, his father received a call informing him that his son had been found injured near the elevated Rajendra Place Metro Station. The caller was asked to take the boy to BL Kapoor Hospital, where the family later learned he had succumbed to his injuries.
The father alleged that one teacher had been threatening the teenager for four days, saying he would be expelled and issued a transfer certificate. Another teacher had allegedly pushed him earlier. The teenager’s friends reportedly told the father that his son was under constant pressure and fear.
On the day of the incident, during a dramatics class, the boy fell, after which a teacher allegedly mocked and insulted him, accusing him of overacting. The father said the teacher scolded him so much that he broke down in front of everyone. She allegedly told him she did not care how much he cried. The principal was also present but reportedly did nothing to intervene.
The father stated that his son had complained multiple times about mental harassment by the staff. Although the parents had filed complaints with the school, they refrained from escalating the matter because the Class 10 board exams were approaching.
“Twenty marks come from the school. His exams were near… I didn’t want to cause trouble,” the father told PTI, adding that the family had promised to shift him to another school after the exams.
What the Suicide Note Said
A suicide note found in the boy’s school bag mentioned a phone number to contact and expressed regret for his actions, saying he felt cornered by what had been happening at school.
The boy requested that his organs be donated if possible, writing:
“If any part of my body is still in working condition, please donate it to someone who needs it.”
He named the principal and two teachers, requesting that strict action be taken against them so that no other child has to suffer the way he did.
He apologised to his elder brother for past arguments and to his father for not living up to him. He thanked his mother for always supporting him and asked her to continue doing the same for his brother and father.
He concluded,
“I am sorry, but the teachers have treated me badly.”
