Teen Killed in North Delhi After Being Found With Man’s Wife: Police

A 17-year-old boy, who had recently moved to Delhi seeking work, was tragically killed in a brutal act of violence in north Delhi’s Gulabi Nagar. Police say the boy, identified as Jatin, was allegedly attacked by his landlord, Mukesh Thakur (25), after a personal dispute involving Thakur’s wife.

The incident occurred in the early hours between May 19 and 20. According to officials, Jatin had been staying at Thakur’s residence as a tenant through a connection with Thakur’s wife, Sudha. On the night of the incident, both Thakur and Jatin reportedly consumed alcohol together.

Investigators say tensions escalated when Thakur allegedly found Jatin in a compromising position with his wife later that night. The following morning, once Sudha left for work at a toy factory in Roshanara, an argument broke out between the two men. In what police describe as a fit of rage, Thakur allegedly attacked Jatin with a small gas cylinder, striking him multiple times on the head and killing him instantly.

At around 9:30 am, neighbors noticed blood in the drain outside the house and became alarmed. After knocking on the door and receiving no response at first, Thakur eventually opened it. Inside, they discovered Jatin’s body lying in a pool of blood. Sensing the gravity of the situation, the neighbors quickly locked Thakur inside the room and contacted the police.

Officers arrived soon after and arrested Thakur at the scene. He has since been placed in judicial custody. A case has been registered, and Jatin’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Authorities say further investigation is ongoing.

The tragic incident has left the local community in shock, as the young boy’s life was cut short just days after arriving in the city with hopes of building a future.
