Salman Khan’s Team Responds to Legal Notice, Denies Involvement with ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’
Mumbai: Salman Khan’s production team addressed a legal notice on Wednesday, clarifying that they are not affiliated with Netflix’s “The Great Indian Kapil Show.” The notice was sent by the Bongo Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation, alleging that offensive comments were made on the show about Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, which could potentially hurt religious and cultural sentiments.
According to Khan’s representatives, the legal notice was mistakenly sent to the star’s production house despite having no connection with the show in question. The team emphasized that neither Salman Khan nor his production company has any involvement in producing or contributing to the content of “The Great Indian Kapil Show.”
The Bongo Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation claims that remarks aired on the show were derogatory towards Tagore and sought an explanation from those believed to be associated with the production. However, Khan’s team firmly rejected any links to the matter, labeling the allegations as unfounded.
The clarification comes amid increasing sensitivity around content in the entertainment industry, with production houses being vigilant about potential legal implications related to remarks that may be interpreted as disrespectful.
