Republic Day Rehearsals 2025: Celebrations Begin with Soldiers, Trumpeters, and Camels

As India gears up for its 76th Republic Day, rehearsals for the grand celebrations are in full swing at Kartavyapath in New Delhi. This year’s festivities will be graced by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is set to visit India from January 25-26 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This marks his first trip to India since assuming office in October 2024.
Traffic Restrictions for Rehearsal Days
To ensure smooth rehearsals, Delhi Traffic Police has announced traffic restrictions from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM on January 18, 20, and 21. Key roads leading to Kartavyapath, including intersections at Rafi Marg, Janpath, Mansingh Road, and C-Hexagon, will be affected during these times.
Full Dress Rehearsal Passes Now Available
For those eager to witness the parade’s full dress rehearsal on January 23, the Ministry of Defence is offering passes through the Aamantran portal (aamantran.mod.gov.in) and the mobile app until January 17, subject to availability. Due to overwhelming demand, early registration is recommended.
Highlights of the Celebration
Rehearsals showcase a stunning display of India’s military prowess and cultural diversity, featuring soldiers, trumpeters, and the iconic camel contingent. The Republic Day parade promises a grand spectacle on January 26 as the nation celebrates with pride and unity.
