Prashant Kishor Takes a Dig at Nitish Kumar, Calls Him “Physically Tired, Mentally Retired”

Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor has launched a sharp attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming he is “physically tired and mentally retired.” Kishor, who is gearing up for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections with his party, Jan Suraaj, urged voters to ensure that JD(U) does not win even a single seat.
Calls for a Political Reset in Bihar
Speaking to reporters in Patna, Kishor criticized Nitish Kumar’s history of alliance shifts, arguing that his ability to stay in power despite a weak JD(U) has been a result of strategic political maneuvering. He pointed out how Kumar has switched alliances multiple times—leaving the BJP in 2013, aligning with the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan in 2015, returning to the BJP in 2017, moving back to the RJD in 2022, and rejoining the NDA last year.
“To break this cycle and free Bihar from a leader who is exhausted in both body and mind, I appeal to the people to vote in a way that ensures JD(U) does not win a single seat,” Kishor stated.
Accusations Against NDA and Plans for a Mega Rally
Kishor also took aim at the BJP, accusing it of using Nitish Kumar as a “mask” to enjoy power while indulging in corruption and caste-based politics. He criticized the recent cabinet expansion, calling it a desperate move with just six months left for the elections.
To counter what he sees as Bihar’s stagnant political landscape, Kishor announced a “Badlo Bihar Rally” on April 11 in Patna, claiming it will “break all records in terms of turnout.” However, he also expressed concerns that the ruling government might try to block the event by denying permission.
Challenging Nitish Kumar’s Mental Fitness
Amid growing speculation about the political ambitions of Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant, Kishor refrained from commenting directly on him but threw a challenge at the Chief Minister.
“I challenge Nitish Kumar to name his own cabinet ministers without looking at a piece of paper. If he can do that, I will quit politics and start working for him,” Kishor declared, emphasizing his doubts about the CM’s mental alertness.
As Bihar gears up for elections, Kishor’s bold statements and rally plans indicate that he is positioning himself as a serious challenger to the existing political order.
