Nijjar Murder Case: Canadian Government Documents Reveal No Accused in Custody

Details Emerge Days After Trudeau’s Departure, Raising Questions on Case Progress
New revelations from British Columbia’s Justice Department indicate that none of the four individuals charged in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a National Investigation Agency (NIA)-designated terrorist, are currently in custody.
The accused—Karan Brar (22), Karan Singh (28), Amandeep Singh (22), Kamalpreet Singh (22), and Karanpreet Singh—were previously charged by Canadian authorities with Nijjar’s murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Case documents released by the British Columbia Justice Department show an “N” under the custody status for all four accused, suggesting they are no longer detained.
Earlier, Brar, Karanpreet, and Kamalpreet were arrested in Edmonton on May 3, while Amandeep Singh, already in custody in Ontario on unrelated firearms charges, was taken into custody on May 11 for his alleged involvement in Nijjar’s murder.
These developments come shortly after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s visit, sparking renewed debate about the handling of the case and its implications for justice in the high-profile murder.
