Mercedes-Benz Unveils Largest Product Launch Program in Its History

Mercedes-Benz has announced an ambitious plan to roll out a wide range of new vehicles over the next two years, marking what the company calls the “biggest product launch program in the brand’s history.” According to a report by Motor1, the German automaker shared this roadmap with investors, revealing it intends to introduce around 18 new models within a year — two of which have already been unveiled.
The product strategy spans multiple segments, categorized into three tiers: Entry, Core, and Top-End. In the Entry segment, a new internal combustion engine (ICE) model is expected to debut next year, followed by two electric vehicles (EVs), which are likely the next-generation GLA and GLB compact SUVs.
In the Core segment, Mercedes is planning mid-cycle facelifts for both ICE and EV versions of the C-Class and GLC. Meanwhile, the Top-End category will see the introduction of four new ICE models and five EVs. This includes updates to flagship models such as the S-Class and EQS. CEO Ola Källenius previously stated that Mercedes has invested significantly in the S-Class facelift, surpassing the usual spending for a model refresh.
While many of the launches will involve updates or next-generation versions of existing vehicles, the roadmap also includes brand-new additions. These include the already-announced electric CLA and CLA Shooting Brake, along with the upcoming C-Class EV. Electric versions of the next-gen GLA and GLB are also in development.
Mercedes is also working on a new compact version of the G-Wagen, informally known as the “Little G.” The performance-oriented AMG division is actively expanding its EV lineup, starting with the GT XX concept — an electric super sedan — followed by an SUV from the same series.
In addition to these electric advancements, Mercedes is developing a new large-displacement combustion engine, expected to be ready by 2027.
