Mercedes-AMG GT 63, GT 63 Pro Launched in India with Prices Starting at ₹3 Crore

Mercedes-Benz India has reintroduced the AMG GT lineup in the country, marking its return after a three-year break. The newly launched Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are now available, priced at ₹3 crore and ₹3.65 crore (ex-showroom) respectively. This launch is part of Mercedes-Benz India’s broader strategy to introduce eight new models, following the debut of the EQS 450 SUV, Maybach SL 680, and electric G-Class.
Powertrain and Performance
Both the AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine. The standard GT 63 delivers 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed AMG-tuned automatic gearbox and the 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system. This setup allows the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 315 km/h — surpassing the previous AMG GT-R.
The GT 63 Pro takes things a notch higher with an enhanced output of 612 hp and 850 Nm. This trims the 0–100 km/h time to 3.1 seconds and slightly bumps the top speed to 317 km/h. It also features performance upgrades such as enhanced aerodynamics, larger wheels, ceramic brakes, and exclusive paint finishes.
Design and Dimensions
Compared to its predecessor, the new AMG GT 63 is notably larger — 182 mm longer, 45 mm wider, and 66 mm taller, with a 70 mm longer wheelbase. It includes updates aimed at improving aerodynamics, including an active rear wing, which can be further enhanced through an optional aerodynamics package.
Exterior colour options include:
- Standard: Sun Yellow Solid, High Tech Silver, Selenite Grey, Spectral Blue, Obsidian Black
- Manufaktur choices: Patagonia Red Bright, Opalith White Bright, Alpine Grey Solid
Interior and Features
Inside, the AMG GT 63 features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.6-inch floating infotainment screen, along with AMG-specific performance steering and a premium Burmester sound system. The Pro variant includes unique enhancements like an aluminium centre console and microfiber inserts on the steering wheel. Upholstery options include multiple shades of Nappa leather.
Availability
Deliveries for the AMG GT 63 are expected to begin by the end of this year, while the GT 63 Pro will arrive by the end of next year.
