“Mastermind Behind Grenade Attack at Punjab BJP Leader’s Home Nabbed in Delhi”
In a major breakthrough, the Punjab Police, with support from central agencies and Delhi Police, have arrested the main accused behind the recent grenade blast at BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia’s residence in Jalandhar. The suspect, identified as Saidul Ameen, hails from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, and was apprehended in Delhi, according to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.
Taking to social media, DGP Yadav confirmed that Ameen was the key figure in the April 7 attack, which saw a grenade hurled at Kalia’s home, causing damage to vehicles and glass panels. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
The arrest marks a critical step in the ongoing investigation, which is now focused on identifying the handlers, financial supporters, and any foreign links connected to the assault. Authorities are probing the possible involvement of Pakistan’s spy agency ISI and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with suggestions that the attack was intended to stir communal unrest in Punjab.
Two other suspects have already been arrested, and police have also recovered the e-rickshaw used during the attack. Investigations are ongoing as officials dig deeper into the suspected cross-border and criminal nexus behind the blast.
