Maharashtra Man Kills Wife, Dismembers Body Into 17 Pieces

Maharashtra:
A shocking murder case has come to light in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, where a man allegedly killed his wife, chopped her body into 17 pieces, and scattered them across the city.

The accused, identified as Taha, was arrested after police recovered the severed head of a young woman, aged around 25–28, near the Idgah Road slaughterhouse area on August 30. The victim was later identified as Parveen alias Muskan Mohammad Taha Ansari.

According to investigators, Taha admitted to dismembering his wife’s body and disposing of the parts in different locations. Police have deployed drones and fire brigade teams to trace the missing body parts.

The case came to light when Muskan’s mother, Hanifa Khan, filed a missing complaint, stating that her daughter’s phone had been switched off for two days and that Taha was not answering calls. She later identified her daughter from a photograph of the severed head shown by police.

Police say the exact motive remains unclear, as the accused has been changing his statements during questioning. The location of the murder and the weapon used are also yet to be confirmed.

Two Special Investigation Teams (SITs) have been set up under senior police officials to probe the case. The victim’s remains have been sent to Indira Gandhi Sub District Hospital for examination.
