Gujarat Health Worker Caught Spying for Pakistan, Leaked IAF and BSF Info

In a shocking breach of national security, a 28-year-old health worker from Gujarat has been arrested for allegedly leaking sensitive information about Indian defense installations to a Pakistani agent. The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) confirmed the arrest of Sahdev Singh Gohil, a resident of Kachchh, for sharing classified details and visuals related to the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Border Security Force (BSF).
According to ATS officer K Siddharth, Gohil came into contact with a person posing as “Aditi Bharadwaj” via WhatsApp in 2023. Investigations revealed that the individual was in fact a Pakistani operative. Over time, Gohil allegedly sent her photographs and videos of newly constructed and under-construction IAF and BSF sites.
Authorities first summoned Gohil for questioning on May 1, where he reportedly admitted to the espionage activity. In early 2025, Gohil had even bought a new SIM card using his Aadhaar credentials and used it to activate WhatsApp for the Pakistani agent, sending highly sensitive material over the app. Forensic reports confirmed that the contact numbers used were traced to Pakistan.
Investigators also uncovered that Gohil received Rs 40,000 in cash from an unidentified source, believed to be payment for his spying activities.
This arrest is part of a larger crackdown by Indian security agencies, as tensions escalate with Pakistan following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22 that killed 26 people. Gohil’s arrest adds to a growing list of more than ten individuals — including a YouTuber, businessman, and a security guard — recently detained on charges of spying for Pakistan.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests could follow as India tightens its internal security surveillance.
