Farmer Leader Rakesh Tikait Survives Car Crash, Credits Seatbelt for Safety

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had a narrow escape on Friday evening when his car collided with a Nilgai (blue bull) on the Muzaffarpur-Mirapur Bypass in Uttar Pradesh. The sudden impact damaged the front of the vehicle, but airbags deployed in time, ensuring the safety of all passengers.
Recalling the incident, Tikait said, “It happened around 7:20 pm. The Nilgai appeared out of nowhere and rammed into the car. Everything happened in a flash. Before we knew it, the airbags had deployed, keeping us safe.”
Emphasizing road safety, the Bharatiya Kisan Union leader urged everyone to always wear seatbelts and drive at a safe speed. “Seatbelts save lives. No matter how short the journey, we must wear them. Also, it’s best to keep vehicle speed under 100 km/h,” he advised.
Thanks to these precautions, Tikait walked away unscathed, reinforcing the importance of road safety for all.
