Delhi Freezes at 8°C, Coldest November Morning in Years

Delhi shivered through its coldest November morning since 2022 as temperatures dipped to 8°C on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported. This marks the chilliest start to the day this season, dropping well below Tuesday’s minimum of 9°C.
With temperatures falling 3.3 degrees below the seasonal average, Wednesday’s reading also broke the earlier November low for this year, which was 8.7°C recorded on November 17.
In comparison, Delhi’s lowest minimum temperature for November last year (2024) was 9.5°C, and 9.2°C in 2023. The last time the capital experienced a colder November morning was in 2022, when the temperature hit a sharp 7.3°C — the lowest in recent years.
The IMD has predicted foggy conditions throughout the day, with the maximum temperature expected to hover between 24°C and 26°C.
