Delhi Assembly Elections: BJP Ramps Up Campaign with Top Leaders to Counter AAP’s Strategy

As the Delhi assembly elections draw closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for an intense campaign featuring its top leadership. The party plans to hold massive rallies across the capital, with prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari leading the charge.
Joining the campaign are Chief Ministers from various states, such as Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand, and Himanta Biswa Sarma of Assam, along with Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary. PM Modi is expected to headline three to four rallies in the last week of January.
The BJP is putting a special focus on Purvanchali voters, who form nearly 50% of Delhi’s electorate. From January 23, the party will launch a series of rallies, with Yogi Adityanath addressing 14 events in key areas, including Kirari, Outer Delhi, Keshav Puram, Shahdara, Karol Bagh, and Mayur Vihar. Other Purvanchali faces, such as Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari, and Nirahua, will also campaign across the city.
The BJP’s outreach strategy includes over 2,500 small meetings, drawing-room discussions, and “baithaks” held during Makar Sankranti, aimed at highlighting the central government’s welfare schemes. The party has also planned bike rallies to engage voters in Purvanchali-dominated areas.
As part of its grassroots initiative, PM Modi will connect with BJP workers through an online event, “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot,” on January 21. With its extensive campaign efforts, the BJP aims to counter AAP’s stronghold in the capital and make a significant impact in the upcoming elections.
