CoinDCX Founders Granted Bail in ₹71 Lakh Fraud Case

In a recent development, a court in Mumbai has granted bail to the founders of CoinDCX, Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal, in connection with a ₹71 lakh fraud case.
The case had raised concerns around financial transactions linked to the cryptocurrency platform. However, during the hearing, the defence strongly argued that the allegations did not warrant continued custody.
Senior advocate Pranav Badheka, representing the accused, told the court that the case lacked substantial grounds for prolonged detention. He emphasized that the matter was not as severe as portrayed and that due legal process should be followed without unnecessary restrictions on the accused.
After considering the arguments, the court decided to grant bail, offering temporary relief to the founders while the investigation continues.
The case is still under legal scrutiny, and further proceedings will determine the final outcome. Meanwhile, this development has drawn attention within India’s growing cryptocurrency sector, where regulatory and legal clarity continues to evolve.
