BSF Shoots Down Pakistani Intruder Near Punjab Border

Amritsar: In a swift response to a suspected infiltration attempt, Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot dead a Pakistani intruder who crossed the international border in Punjab’s Amritsar. The incident took place on the morning of March 3 near Kotrazda village.
According to an official statement by the BSF Public Relations Officer (PRO), the intruder took advantage of the uneven terrain and wheat crops to approach the border security fence. Alert troops noticed his suspicious movement and challenged him to stop. However, instead of halting, he attempted to rush toward the fence.
Sensing a potential threat, the BSF personnel fired in self-defense, neutralizing him on the spot. A mobile phone was recovered from his possession during a search of the area.
The BSF emphasized that their vigilance had once again thwarted a possible infiltration attempt from across the border. Legal procedures for handing over the intruder’s body to the Ramdas police station are currently underway.
