Boy Killed Over Social Media Row After Being Treated to Chhole Bhature in Ghaziabad

A 17-year-old boy was brutally murdered in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, after a petty social media disagreement turned deadly. The victim, Rehan, reportedly followed the girlfriend of his friend, Wasim, on social media, which enraged Wasim and led him to plot Rehan’s murder.

According to police reports, Wasim lured Rehan into a trap by inviting him for a meal of Chhole Bhature. After the meal in Ghaziabad’s Loni area, Wasim, along with his associates Sahil and Rahil, took Rehan to Elaichipur village in the Tronica City area under the pretense of a casual outing. There, Sahil restrained Rehan while Wasim attacked him with a Rampuri knife before fleeing the scene.

The police recovered Rehan’s body from Elaichipur on Tuesday and have since arrested all three accused. The murder weapon has also been seized.

Investigators revealed that Wasim had promised Sahil and Rahil a liquor party in exchange for helping him commit the murder. The incident has sparked outrage, highlighting how social media disputes can escalate into horrific acts of violence.
